He said that the terrorists had successfully killed several innocent Nigerians in recent times by using teenage girls and vulnerable elderly women as couriers of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

He said that the fight against terrorism would not be successful with combatants in the fields alone without the intelligence components.

Onwubiko maintained that the role of the DSS was critical in the fight against terrorism.

“The need to uncover the identities of the founders of Boko Haram has become imperative because that’s the best way to cut down the taproot of suicide bombers.’’
