Shola Ameobi set to sign for Crystal Palace

Shola Ameobi is set to make a return to the Premier League with Crystal Palace.

According to reports, the Super Eagles striker has agreed a deal that will see him reunited with former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew.

Ameobi left Turkish club Gaziantep in December and is now a free agent. It is understood that the Nigeria international will choose Selhurst Park ahead of West Bromwich Albion and Hull City.

The striker scored 79 goals in 397 appearances for Newcastle, before he brought an end to his 14-year stint at St James’ Park.
